Summary: Removing and AdvFS Domain

Thanks for all of the quick responses: Original question is on bottom.
It sure is Monday and my head is not clear. Stupid mistake on my part.
There was still a fileset mounted and I was using it. fuser -fck
/newdisk removed me.

Several people responded: Alan Nabeth, David J DeWolfe, John J.
Francini, Bryan Lavelle, Dr. Thomas Blinn, Darryl Cook, Cynethia
Alverez, Thomas Payerle, and Joe Fletcher,

Make sure all the filesets in the domain have been dismounted (use
the mount command and grep for the domain name in the output).

Then just "cd /etc/fdmns" and "rm -rf <domain>" and you'll have got
rid of the thing that identifies the location of the domain.

Then zero the disklabel on the disk you had the domain on, and then
re-create the label from scratch. Presumably you'll want to have an
a, b, and g partitions about the size of the existing boot disk, or
larger (larger in root is better, you could always use the swap on
your existing system disk).

Then create the file systems on the new disk and use tar or dump piped
to restore to copy over your existing file systems. Be sure to fix
the /sbin/swapdefault symlink on the copy disk, and be sure to fix up
the /etc/fstab to point to the right locations.

Now you should be able to boot your "clone" disk.

Original Question:
I have looked at the archives and also looked at a book from Admin
