"last" command woes

Hi all.

I have several systems running Tru64 4.0D (technically speaking -
Digital UNIX 4.0D), AS-4100.

When run, command "last" gives accounting only up to e certain date,
different for each machine. I have a feeling this date is related to the
size of the /var/adm/wtmp. One machine has 10M, the other 18M.

One of the machines has SP6 applied, the other is non-SP.

Is this a known bug? Is there a workaround?

Nix.
