I installupdated my AlphaStation 400 4/233 from 4.0f to 4.0g to 5.1. I
found the following question in the archives which describes my problem but
there was no summary. Could the person who submitted the question or
anyone who can help me? Thanks in advance.
Question from archives:
I've got an AlphaStation 200 4/233 that I've just upgraded from 4.0d to
4.0g to 5.1. It boots fine, but the console is dead - except for the login
screen, which it paints just fine. No mouse action, no keyboard action.
nada. But I can telnet to the system so I know it's alive.... So, I suspect
my graphics adapter. I've looked at the graphics adapter and it's from
Number Nine Corporation but I can't find a DEC part number (it does have an
S3 Trio64 chip - whatever that is!). The old documentation I've got says
the graphics card should be ZLXp-E1, but I don't know if that's what I've
got. The release notes for Tru64UNIX 5.1 talks about no support for various
PowerStorm graphics adapters...... Any suggestions?
