More interesting information from Dave Campbell :
Genroco cards were only supported by Compaq Custom system in Annecy and were
not a global Compaq solution - so it's not strictly true that Compaq have
never supported them. Annecy was developing this technology as a stop gap
for customers in Europe who needed fibre channel connectivity/distances
before the mainstream solutions were available. I've been informed that
there are currently no plans to extend genroco support beyond 4.0g,
therefore if want a future upgrade path for your systems go for the Compaq
global offering which is the KGPSA fibre channel cards.
