Hello,
We have started to see several annoying problems and wondered if any other
hitachi users are seeing the same problem. What we are seeing is that
after a reboot sometimes, the targets are changing on us. For example,
when we initially set up a system the disk will look as follows and dual
pathing seems to work fine.
bus 3 target 3 lun 38 and bus 2 target 3 lun 38
after the reboot sometimes the target changes to ( below is an example),
when the target changes it affects all the fiber attached drives on the
system.
bus 3 target 2 lun 38
bus 3 target 4 lun 38
We are using Compaq fiber cards in a fabric topology connected thru a
brocade switch.
We are attempting to work with compaq to see if we have a software bug and
we are working with hitachi to determine if we have a problem on there side
also.
I have include the ddr.dbase entry for hitachi, so others that are using
hitachi can tell us if it is the same entry they are using.
The bottom line question is has any hitachi users seen this type of
problem? We are only seeing this with dual fiber attached systems running
5.1 at various patch levels, most are at patch level 2.
