Summary: truss-like program for Tru64?

Many people responded. There were two solutions:

1) Several people supplied me with different versions of a program
named "trace" for Alphas. It works somewhat, but the version I tried
does not know about some system calls/functions. It generated several
"unknown call ()" messages in its output stream.

2) The Tru64 UNIX 5.1 CDs contain truss. We don't have 5.1, but someone
gave me a copy from his 5.1 system. It seems to work just fine.

Thanks to all for their help. There are lots of very helpfull members
of this mailing list!
