cannot boot from the SCSI device

Dear Colleagues,

please, help us with the following problem:

Our AlphaPC 164 with ASUS PCI-SC875 SCSI adapter cannot boot from the SCSI
device.

The SRM console simply does not see the SCSI host adapter and any devices
attached to it in the "show dev" listing.

At the same time "show config" gives the following output:

PCI BUS
Bus 00 Slot 05: Digital S3 Trio graphics controller
Bus 00 Slot 07: NCR 53C875 Scsi controller
Bus 00 Slot 08: Intel 82378IB PCI to ISA brigde
Bus 00 Slot 11: CMD PCI0646 IDE controller

The version of the SRM console we use it 5.5-1. However we tried other
versions as well with the same result.

Also, when SRM is replaced by ARC console - the SCSI drives appear
correctly and Linux can be booted from the SCSI HD or CDROM.

Has anyone experienced anything like that? What can be done about it?

Thanks in advance!
