Managers,
I believe this is simple, I don't use X very often. I did try to look in the archives, but there is so much related X-windows it is hard to find anything in the clutter.
Anyway:
One of my users is trying to run the 'xon' command on a HP machine, and use a Alpha Tru64 machine to serve the application.
He is getting a 'permission denied' response.
The user has a valid login on both machines and can run the application directly on the Alpha.
Also we have some Exceed emulators on PCs which use XDM to create a full X-login. They also can run the application.
Can anyone tell me what I need to check to get this working from the HP? (xon is not required in the equation, just the ability to run the application from the HP's monitor.)
