Hi --

Found this message in Feb of this year. I can't find any summary or answer
anywhere. I am seeing the same thing. Is this a known issue and I am just
missing it?

thanks
Kathee

PS -- yes, I know about sialog, that is not the issue. The issue is
getting auth.info to log anything.

Dear Managers,

I know that on v4.0x systems, any attempts to su to root are logged in
/var/adm/syslog.dated/auth.log, including any failed attempts. However on
our v5x systems, only successful su's are logged.

My question is, could anyone point me in the right direction so that
unsuccessful su's are logged as well. Is it something I have to setup or are
they logged in a completely different log file ?

Thanks in advance for your help,
