Hello,

Could someone please clarify use of max_iosize_read and max_iosize_write
for tru64 4.0x and 5.1?

I recently hit warning on chvol for an lsm vol when adjusting reads/writes
>64k under 4.0g. The io max_iosize_read and max_iosize_write are at
defaults of 65536 , i.e 512*65536=32k. Is this largest read on lsm vol
possible. Didn't get error on non-lsm vol, i.e,
chvol -r 256 -w 256 -c on /dev/rz65c ora_data3 .

On 5.1 I did NOT get errors with chvol when adjusting reads and writes to
512k on LSM vol and max_iosize_read and max_iosize_write are at default.

Also what is io subset max-vol = 1024 purpose? Also voling.max_io ?
Are these related.

Thanks,
