(Problem was failure to detect a HSZ70 installed in an existing machine)
Thanks to the many people who responded, all much on the same lines. It
turned out that the problem was simple and due to me not checking properly
beforehand: when you boot genvmunix after adding hardware, make sure it
really _is_ the original genvmunix and not in fact an old copy of vmunix that
someone's left there. These sort of things can be a problem when you're
working on unfamiliar machines.

p.s. as an aside, does anybody remember the location of the document that
explains how the disk labels SRM sees (e.g. dkc100) map to /dev/rz17 etc? I
know I've read it in the past but can't find it anywhere now. A web search
didn't throw much light either
