Hi,
I am relatively new to Tru64 administration, so I apologize if this is a
newbie question that seems simple. We are adding hardware to our current
ES40's (replacing cpu's, adding memore, fibre channel cards and mem channel
cards). They are Tru64 4.0F and are extremely out of date on their patch
revision. I have in earlier positions applied patch kits to Digital Unix
and so the process for that I understand. In their case the patch kit is
all encompassing (ie. you find the latest and it includes all of the patches
up until then). My question involves new hardware delivery patches. Should
I be installing these as well? Are they all encompassing? Should they be
installed before or after I patch to the latest revision? Thanks in advance
for any info.
