Hi, one of my ES40 Tru64 5.0A systems crashed on Saturday. It was halted at the ">>>" prompts. I booted it up, and everything checked out OK. The weird thing is, I can't find anything about the crash. There is nothing at all in the /var/adm/crash directory. The /var/adm/messages file mentions nothing other than the boot process. This is a relatively new install of 5.0a, and I was wondering if you have to manually set something up so it writes the crash files (vmunik.1, vmcore.1, crash-data.1, etc). I did notice the SAVECORE_DIR variable is not setup in the /etc/rc.config file. But it is not set on one of the other systems also, and it writes to the /var/adm/crash directory everytime. Any help would be great.
