Full or half duplex?

I have an DE-600 series Ethernet card which I recently installed
in a Alphaserver 8400 running DU 4.0g.

It seems to be working fine, and we do get the message at boot-up
May 4 09:43:54 kpasa vmunix: ee0: Autonegotiated, 100 Mbps full duplex

My question is--do I have any other way within the operating system
to verify that the interface is running full-duplex at the present moment?

ifconfig shows the following:

ee0: flags=c63<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING,MULTICAST,SIMPLEX>
     inet 131.225.107.16 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 131.225.107.255 ipmtu 1500

Question two--what does the "SIMPLEX" mean?
