Dear Admins,

When trying to use the erase argument with the mt command I get an error:/dev/nrmt0h erase 1 failed: No such device or address

Running 4.0F on XP1000, DS20, and ES40 with TLZ10 DDS3 4mm tape drives. The drives work fine and the other mt commands such as seod, rewind, and fsf also work. What's up with erase? I want to clear the tape so that the next mt seod will work if the tape is new or being reused.

I tried to go to the search but is seems to be unavailable at this time.

Thank you - Greg gkpoole_at_tecoenergy.com

If I issue the command while the drive is busy I get this message:
