Hi all

Does anybody know what are the optimum chunk sizes for stripesets on HSG80
2 Node Cluster Tru64 5.1, Oracle PS 8.17
Stripeset S1 made from 2 Mirror sets, all disks on own IO ports. {Ultra 3}
{Total 4 drives per stripe/mirror set}

Normal Unix FS ? .Suppose default, 128k
But what about Oracle
Raw Oracle ? {Does oracle write small pages, e.g. 8K}
Oracle on Unix FS ? {Does oracle write small pages}

CLI suggest:
CHUNKSIZE=DEFAULT lets the controller set the chunk size based on the
number of disk drives (d) in a stripeset or RAIDset. If d < 9 then chunk
size =
256(128k). If d > 9 then chunk size = 128(64k).

Thanks
