TLZ07 problem

Hello,
During the backup process (tar cvf /dev/nrmt0h ...) there was a problem
with tape drive (I/O error). After that the drive was unreachable either
with mt or scu. Both diodes (green and yellow) on the drive are
consistently flashing and the drive won't react to the eject button.

In the meantime, the machine was rebooted, but with same results (see
tape.err).

How fo I get the tape out and test the working validity of the tape drive?

On the same SCSI controller are two additional disks and a CD drive
working without problems (DU 4.0d on DEC 1000)

      Thanking you in advance
