Many thanks to that replied to my request for help.
It would appear that the mailx program can send mail to more than one
username.

example:
# mailx -s "test" user1 user2 user3 user4_at_someother.domain user5

It is also possible to setup a mail distribution list in the mail.aliases
file.

example:

garage_night: mem1_at_isp.com,mem2_at_other.com,mem3_at_work.com

So, when anyone mailed to garage_night_at_hostname.com, each of the above
people would get the mail.

Don't forget to build a new copy of the mail database file.
/usr/sbin/newaliases

Netbackup 3.4 (Datacentre) problem with mail:-

After I switched on some debuging information it became clear why the mailx
program was failing. It put an extra '.' should be using , or a space
between the usernames.

Regards

Mark
