I have a user with an XP-1000 running DU 4.0E . A year and a half ago, I
replaced his original video card with a powerstorm 4D10T card. I had to
install an updated open3d driver set with the 4D10T driver and build a new
kernel to get that to work. This morning, his system was sluggish and
ultimately hung. I couldn't shell on to the system, so I finally did a
hard reset and reboot. The system came up, but the graphics system did
not load. I noticed that in the boot messages was the statement:
No Graphics Console detected, using VGA mode.
I rebooted with the genvmunix and got the same message. I also checked
the installed software sets with setld and I see the 4D10T.
Anyone have any suggestions ? Is it possible the card is trashed --
i.e. that it works in VGA, but not in full graphics ?
Thanks for any help.
