Some of you will recall a recent problem with the Tru64 UNIX V5.1 Patch
Kit 3, originally released on April 16, 2001 as T64V51AS0003-20010413.tar.
There was a problem in the dupatch tool that prevented baselining a
system that had non-standard file content, and that needed a fix.
The fix has been implemented and tested, and the Tru64 UNIX Patch Kit 3
has been re-released; the new file name is T64V51AS0003-20010521.tar and it
contains a new "dupatch" tool, revision 29-02. The ONLY change in this
kit is the updated "dupatch" tool. If you already installed the older
kit, you do NOT need to get the new kit. If your installation of the
older kit was blocked by the baselining problem, you should get the new
kit when it shows up on the standard FTP and web location.
The patch kits for other releases are in process and will be produced
with the updated "dupatch" tool.
I do NOT know exactly when the updated patch kit will show up on the net
for your downloading pleasure, but those of you who consume these kits
know where to look.
