cron FIFO corrupted ?

Hi,

It seems we cannot restart the cron service although I don't see any
errors. The cron service is not running. When I look at the
/sbin/init.d/cron file I see that it tries to remove /var/adm/cron/FIFO
when it starts cron.
If I go in /var/adm/cron and do an ls I can see FIFO there. If I do a ls
-l I get
./FIFO not found then it lists the other files.
If I try to remove it rm FIFO I get
rm: FIFO: invalid argument.

Any ideas ?
