Dear all,
I'm having problems getting the NFS performance I expect from
non_Linux boxes.
Here is my setup:
- NFS server, PWS500au, 4.0E (latest patches), 1.5MB of memory
exported filessystem: AdvFS on RAID-5 (RA3000 on HSZ22)
- several NFS clients (Linux, IRIX & DU 4.0F), all on 100MB
filesystem mounted with default options
- I followed all the recommendations in several sys_check runs on
the Tru64 machines
And here is some performance data:
- permanentely cp a 10MB file to the NFS mounted AdvFS from
the clients:
client real_ave real_min real_max

One solution - at least for the SGI - would be to upgrade to the
latest OS (6.5.X). As far as I can see, there seem to be some NFS
enhancements.
Any hints, comments, remarks about what I'm doing wrong here?
Cheers
Clemens Vonrhein
