Hi everybody.
I have got a question about how df is working.
You know time to time the log files get full so does and proxy cache.
And let say at that time my df -k output is like this
 ---------------------------
bash2.04$ df -k
Filesystem 1024-blocks Used Available Capacity Mounted
on
root_domain#root 514480 192760 303832 39% /
/proc 0 0 0 100% /proc
usr_domain#usr 6445296 2423671 3965488 38% /usr
ora_data#data 8886760 3635272 5245144 41%
/export/home
ora_redo#redo 8886760 16 8881424 1%
/export_redo/home
ora_ticket#ticket 8886760 16 8881424 1%
/export_ticket/home
bash2.04$
-----------------------------
After this
I have done a du -xak /usr | sort -nr > /somefile
And at the end i have cleaned the logs and other files that were
consuming space.
Did again du -xak /usr | sort -nr > /someother
and i have seen that the space have been gained .
But when i do again df -k it gives the same output.
Rebooting the sistem refreshes df to show the current disk usage.
I am running OSF1 V4.0.
What could be the problem??
Thanks in advance
Hysen
