Dear all,

PWS 500au, 4.0G, on boot reports:

    isp0 at pci1000 slot 4
isp_read_nvram: Warning, invalid NVRAM, using driver defaults ID set to 7
    isp0: QLOGIC ISP1040B/V2
isp0: Firmware revision 5.57 (loaded by console)
    isp0: Fast RAM timing enabled.

Normally, a known good idential box, reports:

    isp0 at pci1000 slot 4
    isp0: QLOGIC ISP1040B/V2
isp0: Firmware revision 5.57 (loaded by console)
    isp0: Fast RAM timing enabled.

The "ill" box had its battery replaced (it had even leaked!) and went
through the usual AlphaBIOS -> SRM transition procedure.

Thanks,

Arrigo
