gdb and Tru64 5.1

I notice in the archives that others had problems getting gdb to work
under 5.1. I dont see any summary though......did anyone get it to
compile. If so I would appreciate any pointers you might give.

Running on an ES40 with Tru64 5.1 operating system using gcc 2.95.2.
