hot spare & automatic rebuild?

Hi managers,

Scenario:
AS2100
DU4.0D + pk3
Raid controller KZPAC-CB
HDDs DS-RZ1DD-VW
External Shelves BA35X-VA
StorageWorks standalone utility RA200RCU
Configuration : A mirror and a hot spare
Hardware parameters StorageWorks Fault Mgmt Enabled and
Battery-BAckup enabled

Initially, each one of the elements of the mirror were
in different channels.
Product of a failed drive in the mirror, the hot spare
got in automatically and now the mirror has the two elements
in the same controller channel.
For obvious reliability reasons, we want to distribute
again the mirror in two channels.
Trying to achieve this purpose with the box down and using
the ra200rcu utility we added a hot spare in the
other channel and manually failed one of the elements of the
mirror but the hot spare doesn't get in as a mirror member
automatically
What is wrong in the procedure?
Any comment, point, experience will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
