    Hi,
Before I start to configure DHCP I would like to have some help.
We are going to have subnets in our network very soon.
At present we are having more 30 Tru64 machines in our institute.
which are managed by with NIS. I would like to know the following:
I would like to start with OS 4.0G since most of the machines
   are having this OS level.

   1. Is it possible to keep the IP name if I move the machine from one
subnet
        to another? How?

   2. Can I use the SW provided by Compaq or I have to look for another SW
to
       do this?(Public Domain SW)

   3. Since I will have different IP number when I move the machine from
one
subnet to another, has it got any problems with NIS ? Whether I
should
make any change in the NIS table?

Any suggestions will be appreciated. My plan to start(for a test) to
configure in
      2-3 weeks.

     Thanks in advance,
     Kumar
