sorry for the off-topic e-mail.
We have seen quite a few e-mails pertaining to issues people are having
with Compaq Support.
FYI - We can help with many ( not all ) issues regarding obtaining support
from Compaq, feel free to contact me directly
about any issues regarding support, we may very well be able to help from a
technical standpoint.
A few things to think about......
1.) We have to understand that Compaq is a good company.
2.) We have to understand that not much has changed, other than the
Company Name.....
i.e. they still have many of the same employees, they still have
one of the best if not the best
performing UNIX servers out there. And last but not
least "ALPHA" enough said, these procs can't be beat.
3.) We also have to understand that Compaq is trying to fix these
service related issues on a daily basis,
correct me if I am wrong but that was the main reason they picked
up DEC... For the service....
4.) We know that Compaq is very serious about marketing and maintaining
the Alpha Line, obviously it makes them
one of the lead IT providers in the World.
5.) On the Grand Scale of things, a few issues here and there are to be
expected when two companies come together as one.
We urge you all to be as patient as you can, and have faith that
Compaq will take care of you, you are the future of their company!!
