Where can I find memory channel usage documentation? I want to
know if and how I can safely use the mc to improve TCP/IP comm
between machines in a two-node cluster. The Compaq person who
installed the cluster suggested not to use the mc for ip traffic.
The Compaq online docs did not tell me.
Background: our ES40 cluster seems to communicate only over the
normal network interfaces. When Baan does things which involve
heavy Oracle operations the network interfaces of both machines
are (nearly) saturated. These sessions take up to 6 times longer
than on a sinlge AS1200, while overall performance is about 5x
better now. The Oracle listener runs on the cluster IP address.
imcs always gives empty output, monitor shows no traffic in mc0
I believe that the speed could be improved over the mc.
