All:
I have a new ES40 which includes a DZPCA-AA Ultra 2 Single Channel PCI to
SCSI adapter with 68 pin internal/external High Density Connectors. I have
two internal disk drives on this adapter. The external connection, we
thought, could be used for our tape drive. The system sees the attached
tape drive at the SRM console level, but when the boot drive is accessed it
will not work. COMPAQ has told me that you cannot have both internal and
external devices hung on this adapter at the same time and we will have to
add another adapter in order to attach the external tape drive.
Can anyone out there confirm this?
TIA,
