File timestamps changing during vdump

File timestamps appear to be changing while vdump is running - last night
it was two files in /usr, some nights no files have their timestamps
changed.

Tripwire picks this up. The files content has not been changed, or at
least the MD5 checksum hasn't changed. The behavior has been observed on
4.0d and 4.0g. It is not limited to one machine and is relatively
infrequent.

Has anyone else seen this?
