Problem with Legato not running scripts

Hi!

We have a centralized backup solution that is Legato based (currently
version 6.0.2.Build.251) that we are using to backup of a number of NTs,
Suns and Alphas. We have experienced a strange error that we haven't
gotten a straight answer to from our local support contacts.

If you add a machine to a backup group it refuses to run the correct pre-
and postscripts (through savepnpc), however if you move a client to a new
group and rename the corresponding .res-files then suddenly it
works. Permissions and filenames have been triplechecked and in one
instance this was on a machine that had been working perfectly for four
months before suddenly not working anymore. The only thing that happens is
that we get <Group>.lck-file on the client. The only occurences so far
have been on Solaris-machines but we are now in the processes of equipping
our Alphas with large databases, Oracle on Tru64, to some form of Legato
solution (either expanding this solution or, perhaps more likely, purchase
a new solution with FC-connection to our SAN) and I'm just curious if
anyone has experienced this problem and even better knows the solution to
this?

Thanks in advance

/Eskil
