In the previous summary, I erroneously indicated that there were no man
pages on kernel stuff. What I should have said was that there are man pages,
and the man pages can be accessed with topics of the form sys_attrs_<kernel
tuner section, eg ipc, vm, etc). However, I did not find any cross
references to this stuff when I was searching on shared memory, by doing an
"apropos shm". For instance the man on shm_open has no reference to the
setting of kernel parameters that may effect the performance of the
function.
