Information about kernel parameters

Hi,

As Dennis MacDonell says in his message : 'Where to set the shared memory
variables", i think that there is no enough information in manuals about
parameters as :
max_per_process_adress_space, max_per_proc_data_size, etc.

For example, in the summary of that mail there is an example in wich
per_proc_data_size is equal to 42.924.967.296 , 42 Gb aprox., does it mean
that O.S. assigns to every process 42 GB ? No, it wouldn't be possible
there isn't so amount of memory, or at least real
memory ). Then, What does per_proc_data_size, per_proc_stack_size and
per_proc_address_space mean really ?

Thanks in advance

Regards
