OK, found out what was wrong with syserrlog file. Its just a leftover from
previous attempt to restore from a corrupted backup. If you've followed my
progress on this, you'll remember. A quick word. I'm now trying to
diagnose the hardware problem on the system. I'm not trying to use it. The
app passed with flying colors on 4.0G. Now, before I throw this system in
the nearest dumpster, I'd like to know what is wrong with it. If it were an
IA32 sustem I'd surely know already, but Alpha's are a whole new ballgame to
