Dear All
Further to my earlier posting, we managed to get the system working
correctly by using fibre channel disk arrays. We did load v5.1 onto an
Alphaserver 4100 system, and applied patch kit 3, but this system also
behaved in the same way as the earlier attempts with the GS80; no matter how
many units were made presentable from HSZ70's the system only saw three
units from the os. All units were visable from SCU, and hwmgr had no effect.
Since I originally posted this message, I have only had one reply - from
Jason Orendorf - basically suggesting things we have already tried. I
personally feel that if the SPD for the product says that configurations are
supported then they should work with the minimum of fuss. Any other
suggestions on what I may have missed in building this configuration will be
gratefully received.
