>From Rob I got the following link: http://garbo.uwasa.fi/unix/vmsbackup.html
Downloaded the files and got it compiled and working.
However, when it reads my VMS tapes it gives me the error:
SNARK: Invalid header block size. - and promptly quits.
I'm guessing that we have created all of our tapes in an 'improper' block
size,
i.e. something other than the 8192 byte standard. I'm reading through the
com file we use
for backups on VMS to determine if that's the problem.
Any ideas? Does anyone know of a way to 'override' the block size problem
I'm having? Otherwise, the utility WILL read a *.bck (or other vms type
saveset) once it's on disk. (i.e. mount the tape in vms, copy the savesets
to disk, ftp savesets to unix, VMSBACKUP the saveset, on and on and on....
cumbersome, but works.)
Thanks in advance...
