Thanks go out to Manish Mae, Tim Brown, and Jim Kurtenbach who pointed out that
we may have a termination problem. It turned out that our vendor sent us a bad
terminator (H8863-AA) for one of our HSZ80's. Replaced the terminator and we
were able to see everyting that was configured in the RA8000.
Below is the original problem.
Managers,
We have a new RA8000 with dual-redundant HSZ80 controllers. We
configured the HSZ80 controllers, a striped mirrorset, a mirrorset, &
3 JBODS. Today we installed a KZPBA-CB SCSI adapter into an
AlphaServer 4100 & connected the RA8000 to it. When entering "show
dev" the hardware sees the KZPBA-CB, but does not see any of the
virtual disks defined in the RA8000. Does anyone have any idea why
this would happen?
Thanks,
Pete Joseph
