Hi Everyone,

I need to install some SMICR fonts (which I got from www.idautomation.com)
of type Adobe Postscript Type fonts into a 4100 server.

I have done the following:

placed the .pfa .pfb and .pfm under /usr/lib/X11/fonts/Type1 directory with
correct permissions etc..

Running xlsfonts is recognizing the fonts fine under unix.

Next task is to enable these fonts under Oracle 7.3.4 and I have done the
following:

-placed AFM files without the .afm extension under the
/software/oracle/product/7.3.4/guicommon2/tk23/admin/AFM directory

and modified the appropriate .ppd file (hpljet42.ppd) and add the fonts and
the correct version etc.

I have also edited the .AFM files and ensured that I removed all ^M from it
(due to transfer from PC to Unix).

But still when running Oracle reports I get the error that AFM can not be
found and it lists the 4 fonts I am trying to install..

Any ideas?

Thanks very much!
