Thanks to everyone for your answers, this list is trully an incredible
resource!

The generic response was:

(Copy from Manish Vashi's email)
HSZ40 > show failedsets
HSZ40> del failedsets diskname eg disk10000 then replace the drives
physically
in same spot and add spare , which take a place in the raidset ..but as u
bave
4 reduced raidset anyone can take the spot.

HSZ40> add spare disk10000
same way del other failedset and keep adding as spareset.

My Original Question:

> Hi Managers,

> I have a 2100 system with HSG40 controller and 4
> raidsets. A couple of
> weeks ago the battery failed as well as a disk drive
> which was replaced but
> all raid sets are currently running as reduced and I
> have 4 drives which
> are not being included in the raidsets. My question,
> is if I just add these
> drives into the reduced raid sets the controller
> will automatically
> reconfigure the raidset to run in normal mode? is
> there anything I need to
> type in to ensure that once I add the drive into a
> raid set that it uses
> that drive to eliminate the "reduced" quality?
