Hello Tru64 Believers

We have a 3 system Tru64 Cluster (2 DE20 systems and 1 800 System with
Memory Channel + 450 Raid cabinet), 2 Personal Workstations and 2 800
system in our network. Our NIS setup is 1 Master (one of the Personal
Workstations), 2 Slave (the other Personal Workstation) and everyone else
clients.

Just recently (July) we upgraded all systems from 4.x to 5.1 + latest
Compaq patches, and we now experience an error/warning message anytime
someone tries to change passwords. The password DOES change on the NIS
master, and the change is propagated to the slaves, but the message is
unnerving to the users. Here is the transcript of the passwd command:

        $ passwd
        Changing password for gbush.

        Old NIS password:
        New password:
        Retype new password:
Failure in communication with rpc.yppasswdd for user: gbush
NIS entry may not have been updated.
        $

Anybody have any clues? This version of the OS is diffferent - we get 2
rpc.yppasswdd daemons started.
