Problems Running Matlab R12 on a Tru64 4.0f system

After installing Matlab R12 on a Tru64 4.0F system, we get the
following errors when we try to run it:

>4759:/usr/local/matlabr12/bin/alpha/matlab: /sbin/loader: Error:
>Unresolved symbol in /usr/local/matlabr12/bin/alpha/matlab:
>__cxx_call_static_dtors
>4759:/usr/local/matlabr12/bin/alpha/matlab: /sbin/loader: Fatal
>Error: this executable has unresolvable symbols

Any help would be appreciated.
