Greetings,
I am in search of a part for a TL891 Mini-Tape library
(Model DS-TL891-NT).
This mini-tape library comes with 2 drives, and on
each drive is a small brown plastic handle, bout 3
inches long, used by the loader mechanism to
load/unload tapes from the drives. (One has to open
the drive to see it)
What happened is I sent out the drive for repair, and
it came back without the handle!! The repair company
claim they never saw it, our shipping department
swears that it went out in one piece.
So its more of a he said/she said thing, bottom line,
can't perform backups. If i dont find this small
plastic handle, means we have to shove out thousands
for a new drive!!
So, please if any of you have a dead TL891 that u can
spare the handle, or know where I can find one, please
email me ASAP.
Compaq so far says they only sell the whole drive.
