Hello everyone:

I have a relatively easy question for all of you veterans out there.

We have an 8200 with a 2 gig. memory board and a 1 gig. memory board in it
for a total of 3 gig.
We have purchased a 4 gig board with which to replace the 1 gig. board for a
total of 6 gig.

Our 8200 is running Digital Unix v4.0f. Do I need do rebuild the kernal for
the operating system
to recognize and use the additional memory? Or will the memory be used
automatically. Any
special instructions from those who have added memory in the past?

Any gotcha's that I need to watch for?? Or maybe even special instructions
to pass
on to my Oracle DBA when I have the system back up again??

Thanks in advance,
