thanks to all who answered :

Richard Westlake <r.westlake_at_mail.cryst.bbk.ac.uk>
Derk Tegeler <tegel002_at_hvxbe01.unix.telecom.ptt.nl>
"Prasad, Sreenivasa" <sreenivasa.prasad_at_digital.com>

they all said the same :

I can get it from ftp://ftp.ee.lbl.gov

The current version appears to be arpwatch-2.1a11.tar.gz .

And I also need libpcap from the same location from :

http://www.tcpdump.org/

I got them and installed libpcap (with the error about not finding bpf.h
under the directory ..net, which I mentioned in my previous mail) and
arpwatch.

I ignored the error about the missing routine and started arpwatch and it
works fine .

Bill.Melvin_at_esc.edu wrote answering my mail :

I believe this is because there is no "net"
directory in your /usr/local/include. You could
create the net directory and re-make.

He 's right, there is none

You shud have a bpf.h in /usr/include/net so I wouldnt
worry too much. It would be smart to compare the one
arpwatch wants to install and the one that comes with
Tru64 and make sure they are not incompatible.

Yes, there is the file.

Because arpwatch is running without any errors I will ignore the message.

Thanks to all who answered.

Oh, it would be so helpful to have a similiar list for my NT Problems, but
there was no answer in any list I tried.

Thanks again
