Hello Managers,
We have a dual processor ES40 which has been rebooting on it's one
lately. At first I'd see a lot of :
"Panic (cpu 1) Processor Machine Check"
when it crashes into the blue boot screen and recycles into a successful
boot. Half the time, I'd get a message while it is booting up which
says:
"CPU1 is prevented from being rebooted
System must be reset or power cycled to clear this state"
Which I then halt and power cycle, then it boots with now problem.
But now it dosen't sucessfully boot up, and I get a message
"Panic (cpu 0) vfs_mount: cannot mount root
no primary swap.... [can't read the rest]"
Which it loops over and over infinitly. The reason it crashes in the
first place is also unexplained. I don't get a crash dump. I never had
a chance to scrutinize DecEvent. I'm trying to use the OS cd to boot
into single user mode, but it comes up the the OS install screen.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?
