SUMMARY: rm /etc/passwd!!

Halted system, tried cp, got "read only file system",
then ran bcheckrc, that mounted root, and I copied it
back.

Thanks to all who sent in their suggestions.
Couldn't locate cd!! .....single user worked!
Those are the gotcha's of using sudo!! when u make a
mistake, there is no going back.
Like in this case, if I had root shell, I would simply
copy it back as many suggested.
For those unaware of sudo, once one is in the file
sudoers, he can execute commands as root, by doing
sudo <command> (it checks ur auth. everytime), so
after moving passwd passwd.old, it couldn't validate
me. This is a nice way to make sure all commands
executed as root as logged, by user name.

        I don't think the single-user system requires
the password file, so that should be sufficient. You
might also want to look at the command vipw.
