Subject: Re: trucluster 1.6 ASE question
Brandon,
The cluster interfaces are used for cluster messages between the nodes. The
Client interface is the one your client uses to get to the machine. The
backup
cluster interface is a backup for cluster messages. But the cluster and
client
interface can be the same. Cluster traffic is not much.
If you want you can monitor the interface where your client comes in and if
the
interface fails move over to the other node.
Also read the manuals very well. There is a note somewhere in either the
cluster
software install guide or the admin guide that you have to add hosts routes
to
/etc/routes. This is very important for cluster operations but not very easy
to
find.
