huge (16-24 GB) ramdisk?

Hello Managers,

Because we are dealing with extremely large files and our computational
work is I/O heavy, one of our software managers thought it would be a
good idea to create a large ramdisk or memory file system, in the order
of 16-24GB (yes, Gigabytes). We certainly have enough memory on the
ES40 to accomodate the request. I've scan through what I could on the
tru64 archives and I haven't noticed anyone trying anything on this
large a scale. Most are a few tens of MB and perhaps the largest I've
seen attempted was 2GB.

The entry on the /etc/fstab would be:

-s32768000 /ramdisk mfs rw 1 0

Does anyone who has intimate knowledge of Tru64 4.0f (patch level 6)
know of any pitfalls or ramifications (pun intended)?
