Hi,
We are experiencing periodic fluctations in network response, to the extent
that the echo of key strokes can take some length of time maybe 10-60 secs.
I was thinking of geting a snap shot of what was going on a particular
workstation say every min or 2. The two tools I was looking at were ps and
netstat. ps to give me an idea of the machine load and netstat and idea of
how many packets were being sent and where they were being sent. I've looked
at netstat and there are a swag of options one can set. I was thinking
something along the lines of "netstat -ns", but I'm open to suggestions, and
that is what this email is about, ie what suggestions do the gurus have.
